"New Neighbors"-This E.H. Payne 1890s photograph shows the 1st St. Patrick's Roman Catholic Church on the Main Road in Southold where Town Hall now stands. Previous to being the Catholic Church the building was the Southold Collegiate Institute from 1858-1863. When the Catholic Church purchased the site in 1863 it had the building renovated to suit its needs. |
